New water taxi pier for The Rees Hotel
The Rees Hotel in Queenstown has introduced a water taxi service from its new Pier, providing guests with a convenient, fast and scenic transfer across the waters of Lake Wakatipu. While some guests choose to drive the short distance to the centre of Queenstown, this new option by water taxi service will enable them to soak up the local scenery during the ten-minute trip.
The Pier also facilitates water transfers direct to Queenstown Golf Club, easy access to jet boating on the Kawarau River and acts as an exclusive gateway to the Rees private fishing package at secret spots around the coves of the
glacial lakefront. The Pier was inaugurated during Rugby World Cup, with members of the Classic French rugby greats team taking a Thunder Jet ride on the lake.
